Arbor Landing is built on the idea of “front porch living”.  This refers to one of the defining elements of New Urbanism that permits a garage or ancillary building in the back of the home.  This idea is in sharp contrast to standard urban and suburban developments where the garage is seen at the very front of the home, and most of the social/family features (ie- patio, deck, pool, play area, fence, etc.) is found in the back yard.  Arbor Landing places a heavy emphasis on the idea of bringing life to the front of the home.  Homes are positioned relatively close to the street to encourage neighborly interaction.
